Bedroom Colors and Peach Blossom Luck If you've studied feng shui at all, you probably know that pink is the color most closely associated with the relationship area (kun gua). What you may not know is that all pinks are not created equal, at least when it comes to feng shui. From deep fuschia to the palest blush, when picking out the right shade of feng shui pink usually all you need be concerned with is finding a color that you like, and deciding whether you want to encourage a more passionate (darker shades) or romantic (pastels) attachment. There are some pinks, however, that should not be used in the bedroom, regardless of how beautiful they may appear to you. Pale pink, when it has a bit of orange to it, is the color of peach blossoms. If this color is used in the bedroom, it implies that romance will be short-lived and it can undermine the longevity of your relationship. This is because peach blossoms, although beautiful, only last for a few days before they drop from the tree. If a long-lasting connection is important to you, make sure your pink bedroom accessories or furnishings are really pink, and avoid any orange-y shade of light pink. However, even though the peach blossom color should be avoided in the bedroom, there's another symbolic aspect to peach blossoms that you can use to your advantage if you are single and looking for a partner. Although peach blossoms are short-lived, they appear in great abundance, so peach blossoms imply lots of admirers coming your way. There's a specific feng shui method called "Peach Blossom Luck" that can be very effective at helping you meet more than your fair share of potential partners. (I know it works, because I tried it myself many years ago when I was single.) The Peach Blossom method assigns one of four directions to each Chinese animal sign. Once you know what your personal Peach Blossom direction is -- based on your year of birth -- placing a vase of fresh flowers in that sector of your home will activate your Peach Blossom Luck and significantly increase your chances of meeting someone new. You may even find that you meet several - or even many - interesting new possibilities. To improve the effectiveness of this method, the material and/or color of the vase you use, and the color and number of flowers that you place in the vase, can all be selected to support the element (fire, wood, metal, etc.) of your Peach Blossom direction. I've written a detailed, step-by-step guide - available as an ebook for you to download in PDF format -- that explains everything you need to know to use the Peach Blossom Luck method, from figuring out your special Peach Blossom direction, to selecting the kind of vase and flowers that will work best for you. And, once you are in a relationship, you can even use a kind of reverse Peach Blossom luck to keep your partner from catching the eye of someone new... instructions for that specific use are included, too.

and romance area of my apartment. Above my bed I have a large Egyptian
picture with five women and a man. I have been having many problems
with my girlfriend and wonder if this picture is part of the problem?" With that image above your bed, I expect that it is very difficult for your girlfriend to trust that you are serious about your relationship and that she is #1 in your heart. Without that trust you will continue to have relationship problems. This imagery is likely to be affecting you in some way as well; you might explore in what ways your own words and behaviors may have been sending her mixed signals. So my feng shui advice is to take down that picture and replace it with something more appropriate. What that might be will depend on your specific goals for your relationship. If you would like to build a stronger relationship with this girlfriend, I also recommend placing a nicely framed, recent photograph of the two of you together (looking happy!) in the relationship corner in the bedroom itself. Because your bedroom is in the relationship area of the apartment, this will be a very good place for activating your love luck. If you wish to keep the Egyptian picture and use it somewhere else in your home, think about what that imagery represents to you. It might be appropriate, for example, in the Family area (which also represents community). Or it could go in Helpful Friends/Travel, where it could symbolize expanding your network or support a desire for exotic travel, and so on.
