One reason mirrors are so useful in feng shui is that they create a virtual double of whatever they reflect. Since the stove represents prosperity, a mirror placed where the stove burners are reflected in it is said to increase prosperity. You can use this principle elsewhere as well. For example, a round mirror (3", 6", and 9" are good sizes) under a feng shui prosperity cure or object will reflect and symbolically double it. The simple rice bowl method discussed in the last issue can be placed atop a round mirror for greater effect. The Fast Feng Shui wish books I've created work on the same principle: facing mirrors inset into the inside covers symbolically multiply your wish written on a slip of paper and placed between them.
