FENG SHUI QUICK
TIP 57
If you park your car in the
driveway because there’s no room for it in the garage, you’ve got a feng
shui problem! Your car is a symbol of your mobility, independence and
ability to be self-directed in life. If you can’t open the car door all
the way or have to be ultra-careful pulling in and backing out because
of all the things stored along the side walls of your garage, you may
be hampered or overly cautious moving forward in other ways. When your
garage is cluttered and dirty, it will drag down your chi every
time you get in and out of your car.
If you’ve been hard at work clutter-busting
the rest of your house, chances are a lot of that stuff has been piling
up in the garage, waiting for you to take it to the dump, the library,
or Goodwill. This weekend, give yourself a break from the rest of the
house, and take a few carloads of cleared-out clutter to their next destination.
INTENTION—As
you work on your garage, stay focused on your intention to enable yourself
to move around as freely in your life as you do in your car.
AFFIRMATION—When
you are done, make a verbal affirmation to support your intention, such
as: “By clearing and opening this space, I create more freedom of movement
for myself in all aspects of my life.”
VISUALIZATION—Take
a moment to admire what you have accomplished. Visualize freedom of movement
in all areas of your life. If there is a specific improvement you have
in mind as a result of clearing out your garage, picture it in your mind
as if it has already happened.
