STEPHANIE ROBERTS graduated Harvard magna
cum laude in 1980 with a degree in Art History and immediately moved
to New York City, where she found work as office manager for a well-known
illustrator and discovered that she had a knack for putting things
in order.
She moved on to a job writing advertising copy
and from there found her way into the corporate training field,
where she discovered she had a talent for explaining complex topics
in seminar and workbook format. Although she wished the work was
more fulfilling, she liked being a freelancer, as it meant she only
occasionally had to put on a suit and endure the torture that is
pantyhose in July.
In the mid-1990s, Stephanie began to study feng
shui and knew it would be her next career path. She was among the
first graduates of the professional feng shui training program at
the Metropolitan Institute of Interior Design, and studied extensively
with the Geomancy Feng Shui Education Organization (GEO) as well
as with many leading teachers of both traditional Chinese and contemporary
western feng shui. Stephanie has been a guest panelist on the National
Feng Shui Teleconference Series, analyzed the feng shui of the New
York Stock Exchange for TheStreet.com, and has been interviewed
about feng shui by WPIX-TV in New York City and by the Associated
Press.
All those years of developing corporate training
materials had taught Stephanie how to present just about any subject
so it made sense to a typical reader. When she heard clients and
fellow students complain about how confusing the feng shui books
they’d read were, Stephanie knew she could do a better job.
In 1999, Stephanie moved to Hawaii and began
to write the first of her Fast Feng Shui books. She has since written
three additional titles in the series (and has plans for more),
created the Clutter-Free forever Home Coaching Program (available
in ebook format as Clutter Clearing from the Inside Out), and wrote
The Pocket Idiot’s Guide to Feng Shui for Alpha Books.
Stephanie now lives on the rainy side of the
Big Island of Hawaii with her husband and business partner, Francis
Serrano. Together they own Lotus Pond Press, LLC, publisher of the
Fast Feng Shui books, and Lotus Pond Marketing Inc., established
to manage their many websites, including:
